“In 2021, rating agencies updated the EAEU sovereign credit rating to register that almost all member states improved their positions in the Fraser Institute's Economic Freedom Rating. The largest progress was made by Belarus (26 positions up) and Kazakhstan (18 positions up),” Ms. Malkina said, adding that Belarus and Russia improved their positions by 2 points in the Global Innovation Index.

“The EAEU countries have also demonstrated a good level of accessibility of school and university education according to the Social Progress Index. Belarus occupies the highest position among the EAEU member states,” the EEC official representative noted.

In general, the EAEU boasts good potential in the field of education, development of ICT technologies, human capital and environmental quality – according to international ratings.

Ms. Malkina added that the Strategy-2025 envisages elaboration of issues on mutual recognition of national rating agencies and creation of a rating agency in the EAEU.
