Avakov: we’re contracted now until 2026 and think how to do everything in time

The enterprises of the Planar Holding are contracted until 2026 while the number of those wishing to buy the equipment that is produced here is growing – as Planar’s Director General Sergei Avakov told journalists after a meeting with the President’s participation on the development of domestic microelectronics

“Of course, co-operation with Russia has expanded. The number of orders has increased,” he noted. “But in fairness, I must say that this happened back in 2021. We now have long-term contracts. This year and last year, the number of those wishing to buy our equipment has increased. We are currently contracted until 2026, and we just think how to do everything in time. Now we are launching a project aiming to expand production. Although last year we completed a project to modernise production facilities, but this [new expansion of production] is simply necessary.”

As far as the domestic market is concerned, according to Sergei Avakov, it is limited to two enterprises: Integral and the Minsk Research Institute of Radiomaterials of the National Academy of Sciences, “We meet the needs of the Belarusian market. We have signed a route map with Integral until 2026, describing all its needs for our equipment. We’ll fulfil it.”

Sergei Avakov expects that the result of today’s meeting held on the holding premises will be the intensification of the activities of all participants in the microelectronics industry and faster achievement of significant results.
