WHO assessed the impact of events in Ukraine on global healthcare

The situation in Ukraine will have negative consequences for global healthcare – as stated by the Director General of the World Health Organisation, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, RIA Novosti reports

According to WHO chief, military operations in Ukraine will have an extremely negative impact on international healthcare.

“But I don’t want to lose hope, because even after the darkest night comes the dawn,” Mr. Ghebreyesus added.

Against the backdrop of hostilities in many Ukrainian settlements, a humanitarian catastrophe is emerging. As previously stated in the Russian Defence Ministry, the government of Ukraine, which does not want to co-ordinate the work of humanitarian corridors, should bear responsibility for this.
