US intelligence community: CIA plays active role in Ukrainian conflict
The US intelligence community has acknowledged that the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) is playing an active role in the conflict in Ukraine, said a senior official in the US President Administration, TASS reports
“There is a secret war going on in Ukraine with secret rules <...> that requires the CIA to play a huge role as the main spy, negotiator, supplier, intelligence agent,” the media quoted a senior official in the Biden Administration, as saying.
“Is the CIA on the territory of Ukraine? Yes,” the media reported, citing another source.
According to the source, in order to provide assistance to Kiev, the United States has created two networks for the delivery of goods, one of which is secret. Ships deliver goods to the ports of Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany and Poland, from where the cargo is transported to Ukraine by road, rail and air. The media indicate that commercial aircraft are secretly crossing Central and Eastern Europe to transport weapons and support the CIA operation.
According to The Washington Post on June 30th, US Central Intelligence Agency Director William Burns, during a non-public trip to Ukraine, discussed Kiev’s plans to return territories and hold talks with Moscow by late 2023. He also met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the leadership of the local intelligence community.
