US and Swedish Marines to conduct drills in Stockholm archipelago in September

The Stockholm Marines will conduct the annual Archipelago Endeavour drills in September, which will also involve US Marines – as noted by the Defence Ministry of Sweden, TASS reports

The manoeuvres, which will take place in the Stockholm archipelago, will involve 200 Swedish and 150 American soldiers.

Archipelago Endeavour will be held for the fifth time this year. The stated goal is to share experience and improve skills and capabilities.

According to the military department, the drills increase the readiness of the Swedish army to participate in international operations, which contributes to strengthening stability and security in the Baltic region.
