Unemployment in EAEU dropped by 15% over the year

Unemployment in the Eurasian Economic Union decreased by 15 percent over the year, according to the information published on the website of the Eurasian Economic Commission

The statement reads, “The number of unemployed people registered with the employment services of the Eurasian Economic Union member states of late August 2023 stood at 892,900 people – 15 percent down compared to the same date in 2022.”

Thus, the unemployed make up 0.9 percent of the labour force. Last year this figure was higher: 1.1%.
