Ukrainian threats to disclose Belarusian military personal data is a policy of intimidation

The Ukrainian intelligence service has threatened to disclose personal data of the Belarusian military, and political expert Aleksei Dzermant commented on hidden messages of this statement

Alfa Radio programme host Vadim Shepet recalled what had happened, “The main intelligence directorate of Ukraine’s Defence Ministry stated that Ukraine had never been hostile to the Belarusian people. However, surprisingly, when speaking of its peacefulness, the Ukrainian special service noted that it has access to personal data of all Belarusian Armed Forces’ servicemen and their relatives who are allegedly being ‘dragged into an alien and obviously dead-end’ special operation of Russia in Ukraine. The President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, has repeatedly said that our Armed Forces do not take part in this. Peacefulness and threats… What is it?"

“This is an attempt to intimidate us,” Mr. Dzermant explained, adding, “I am convinced that Belarusian and Russian special services also know the same data about them. We are simply not showing it off.”

The expert said, “All such statements, and especially war crimes, will be investigated – as well as the attempts to involve us into this."

“Belarus does not respond – despite the attempts to attack us with a Tochka-U. Ukrainian military should better bear this in mind. If they want something extensive, they will get it – but the consequences for them will be catastrophic. The only [right] choice for them is not to make such statements but to think of peace and calm down," Mr. Dzermant added.
