Missiles and ammunition are identified as one of the priorities of Ukraine’s 2024 defence budget.

“About 175bn Hryvnia (around $4.85bn at the current rate of the National Bank of Ukraine) will be spent on this direction from the funds planned for 2024. About 80bn Hryvnia (around $2.2 billion) will be directed for military equipment purchases,” the statement reads.

The Defence Ministry of Ukraine also announced its intention to purchase weapons and equipment, as well as contract repair work primarily from Ukrainian manufacturers. It is expected that they will receive over 190bn Hryvnia (about $5.2bn) from the funds allocated for these purposes in 2024.
