Turkish drone manufacturer Baykar to build plant in Ukraine within one year
Turkish drone manufacturer Baykar plans to complete the construction of its plant in Ukraine within one year, TASS reports
Baykar CEO Haluk Bayraktar said that it will take about 12 months to finish the construction of the plant, “Then we will move on to internal machinery, equipment and organisational structure,” he noted on the sidelines of the World Defence Show in Riyadh.
Reuters added that the plant will employ over 500 workers and is expected to produce about 120 unmanned aerial vehicles annually. However, it is not yet clear whether these will be TB2 or TB3 drone model.
In January 2024, the 24 TV channel, citing the Ukrainian Ambassador to Turkiye Vasyl Bodnar, reported that the construction of this plant is planned to be completed within two years.
