The Hill: Austria ready to host negotiations on de-escalation of Ukraine situation

Austria is ready to become a platform for negotiations on the de-escalation of the situation around Ukraine. The country also announced its readiness to maintain communication channels with Moscow, TASS reports with reference to the American edition of The Hill.

The publication refers to the statement of an Austrian official, whose name is not mentioned. According to the source, Austria ‘offered itself as a neutral ground for difficult negotiations and is ready to host de-escalation talks and maintain channels with Russia’.

Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy put into effect the decision of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine on the impossibility of holding negotiations with Russian leader Vladimir Putin.
