Sweden said NATO membership contributes to greater global militarisation

The Chairperson of the Svenska Freds anti-war organisation (Swedish Peace and Arbitration Association), Kerstin Bergea, said that Sweden’s accession to NATO contributes to further militarisation in the world, TASS reports

Kerstin Bergea noted that Sweden’s entry into the North-Atlantic Alliance ‘is a costly and dangerous violation of priorities’. According to her, this does not contribute to increased security, but facilitates greater militarisation in the world.

Ms. Bergea believes the Swedish authorities’ decision to join NATO was made too quickly.
