Stoltenberg will convene NATO-Ukraine Council on January 10th at Kiev’s request
Secretary General of the North Atlantic Alliance Jens Stoltenberg will convene a meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Council at the level of permanent representatives at the request of Kiev, RIA Novosti reports with reference to the military bloc’s press service
It is informed that the meeting will be held on January 10th in connection with the ‘recent rocket shelling and attacks by unmanned aerial vehicles’ on Ukrainian territory.
The recent attacks on facilities in Ukraine followed after the Ukrainian Armed Forces shelled the centre of Russian Belgorod on December 30th, 2023. Ukrainian troops used two rockets with cluster munitions and shells for the Czech-made MLRS. As a result of the incident, civilians, including children, were killed.
