According to the border department, before bringing the foreigners to the barriers, the Lithuanian military arrived at the site on a snowmobile to make sure there were no Belarusian border guards.

Having chosen a ‘safe’ place, the three servicemen led a group of refugees to the Belarusian border, ordered them to throw their belongings over the barrier and tried to force them to proceed to the Belarusian territory.

The actions of the Belarusian border detachment, which was at the scene of the incident, prevented the violation of the state border.

“It is noteworthy that the statements of the Lithuanian border service about the distribution of humanitarian packages to all refugees in need are in practice a lie. The footage shows that the Lithuanian military does not give food or clothing to foreigners,” the State Border Committee added.

The Belarusian department also said that on November 17th, a dead foreigner was discovered on the border with Lithuania, whose body was moved through the fence.
