Shpilevskaya: Belarusian Women's Union is becoming increasingly recognisable public organisation with growing authority

The Belarusian Women's Union (BWU) is becoming an increasingly recognisable public organisation, and its authority is growing among women and men alike – as stated by Olga Shpilevskaya, the Director of the Mir TV and Radio Company representative office in Belarus and Chairperson of the BWU

She noted that the union is increasingly recognised by its symbol – cornflower.

“People know and understand that the BWU is a serious organisation that stands for kindness, warmth, sincerity, continuity of generations, care for women's health, and a web of effective connections with like-minded women from different spheres in the country and abroad. Our capabilities are constantly expanding. It is not surprising that I am regularly invited to, sometimes, unexpected places to talk about the work of the union and help create a cell at enterprises. Moreover, my account on a social network popular with young people is open, and husbands write to me asking to admit their wives into the union. This suggests that our credibility is growing among both women and men and that our community is absolutely sincere. It is about us, our families, our country and our Motherland,” Olga Shpilevskaya emphasised.
