Russian Armed Forces destroyed $6m+ of Leopard tanks during special operation
The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have destroyed Leopard tanks worth more than $6m during several days of fighting in the South Donetsk and Zaporozhye directions, TASS reports
On June 6th, Russia’s Defence Ministry reported the destruction of eight Leopard tanks in the South Donetsk direction. In addition, on June 8th, the commander of the grouping of the Russian Armed Forces in the Zaporozhye direction said that the AFU had lost three more German-made tanks during an attempt at a night offensive. The modifications of the destroyed machinery were not specified.
Based on data from open sources, one Leopard 1A5 tank costs about $559,000. Accordingly, the total value of vehicles that the Armed Forces of Ukraine have lost in recent days may reach $6.1m.
