Putin called claims that Russia is preparing to attack Europe nonsense
The West's claims about Russia's intention to attack Europe are nonsense – as stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin in the State of the Nation Address to the Federal Assembly, RIA Novosti reports
Vladimir Putin noted that the West provoked the conflict in Ukraine, the Middle East, and other parts of the world and ‘continues to lie’.
“Now, without any embarrassment, they declare that Russia allegedly intends to attack Europe. You and I understand that they are talking nonsense, but at the same time they themselves select targets for strikes on our territory and choose the most effective means of destruction, as they think,” the Russian President stressed.
In accordance with the Russian Constitution, the head of state addresses the Federal Assembly every year with a message on the situation in the country and on the main directions of domestic and foreign policy.
