Poland said its defence spending had almost quadrupled in 8 years

Member of the Council of Ministers of Poland Michal Dworczyk said that the country’s defence spending over the eight years of Jaroslaw Kaczynski’s Law and Justice party in power has grown almost 4 times, and the number of armed forces has almost doubled, TASS reports

Michal Dworczyk wrote on his social networks, “Spending on the army: 2015 – $9.3bn, 2023 – $34bn. The number of soldiers in Poland: 2015 – 95,000, 2023 – 175,000.”

One of the priorities of the government of Jaroslaw Kaczynski is the development of the armed forces of Poland. Recently, the country has been actively signing contracts worth millions of US Dollars in the US and South Korea for the purchase of modern weapons, tanks, fighter jets, military helicopters, and infantry fighting vehicles.
