Petrovsky on Poland’s request for weapons

Poland continues to arm itself to the detriment of its own economy. Recently, it approved the purchase of 486 HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems from the United States. In his talk with Alfa Radio, political scientist Piotr Petrovsky explained why the Poles are feverishly purchasing new weapons.

According to the expert, the ruling Law and Justice party pursues two goals: to escalate the situation and please its masters, including the US military-industrial complex, “A huge number of different types of equipment are purchased at the expense of Polish taxpayers. American military enterprises are loaded with orders and are working hard. The current Polish government is the nicest for the USA! The US would like more such governments whose countries buy not German, not French, not British, but American goods. The American owner calls the tune and makes money from the Poles.”

Another reason for the new purchases is the lack of military equipment and weapons in the Polish army. Mr. Petrovsky added, “When the special military operation began, Poland gave half of its tanks to Ukraine. A gap has opened, and the Poles are worried. They began to receive American Abrams tanks under contracts signed under Trump, but so far Poland does not have enough tanks. The reason is that such military equipment and missile launchers cannot be made quickly. It takes from 3 to 5 years from order to production.”
