Pertsov: law on Poles’ special status in Ukraine is seizure of all branches of power

The bill on expanded opportunities for Polish citizens in Ukraine, announced by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, is a quiet takeover of all branches of power – as stated by Belarus' Information Minister Vladimir Pertsov during his talk with Belarus 1 TV channel

In his opinion, Kiev is now making a big historical mistake. “The law on the special status of Polish citizens in Ukraine, which is now being adopted, is not an occupation, not an intervention, but a quiet seizure of all the main branches of power. These include police, courts, work in government bodies, defence industry enterprises, access to state secrets ... In fact, these are all branches of power where opportunities are revealed, a legal clearing for Polish citizens to come. And it certainly being done for a particular purpose. It is being done so that the Poles actually manage what will remain of Ukraine.”

“You say that Warsaw needs the western territories of Ukraine. No. There are clear messages in the Polish press that they need all of Ukraine, or at least the part that will remain as a result of the special operation. This is a national tragedy: to dance to someone else’s tune. In the Verkhovna Rada they clapped and hugged. They do not understand what a tragic and crushing mistake they are making in relation to their country. Actually, is a betrayal, a betrayal of the Motherland, and this should find the most severe reflection in history,” summed up Mr. Pertsov.
