Patrushev: situation in Ukraine makes stronger Russian-Belarusian ties vital

The situation in Ukraine makes the deepening of Russian-Belarusian co-operation in the defence sphere vital. The West does not stop pumping Ukraine with weapons. It transmits satellite and other intelligence to the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, participates in the planning of military operations and sends mercenaries, actually being a party to the conflict. In order to achieve Washington's goal of weakening Russia and Belarus, the neo-Nazi Kiev regime uses openly terrorist methods of warfare. This was stated by the Secretary of the Security Council of Russia, Nikolai Patrushev, during his meeting with the State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus, Aleksandr Volfovich, as part of annual consultations of the security councils of Belarus and Russia.

Mr. Patrushev noted that the explosion of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant’s dam was another planned terrorist attack by the Kiev regime aimed at destroying civilians and civilian infrastructure. The Armed Forces of Ukraine have been shelling Novaya Kakhovka for more than a year. Following Kiev’s instructions, a large-scale discharge of water was carried out on the Dnieper hydroelectric power station upstream, and then another attack on the Kakhovka plant followed – which predetermined even more harmful consequences of the flooding.

“The Kiev regime is well aware of the danger posed to the population by the flooding of the lands of the Kherson Region, the threat to the Zaporozhye NPP, the risk of shallowing of the North Crimean Canal. Ukrainian neo-Nazis are focusing on these results actually. The UN Security Council meeting showed that European countries support the war crimes of Ukrainian neo-nationalists acting on the instructions of American curators. The US allegedly cannot say who is responsible for undermining the hydroelectric power plant. At the same time, it is known for certain that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are being co-ordinated by the United States, the United Kingdom and their NATO partners. Accordingly, they gave their consent to the explosion, and they should be held responsible for that cynical act,” Mr. Patrushev said.

As noted by the Secretary of the Russian Security Council, Anglo-Saxons are also trying to evade the question of who exactly is the customer and the perpetrator of the sabotage on the Nord Stream. At the same time, they are throwing in information through controlled media about the involvement of special forces units of Ukraine in the destruction of pipelines. Meanwhile, independent American sources point to the involvement of the US and the UK in this terrorist attack.

“Washington and London have created the Kiev Nazi regime, which needs to be changed, giving Ukraine the status of a neutral state in practice. Attempts to carry out terrorist attacks on energy, railway and military facilities are also being made on the territory of Belarus," Mr. Patrushev added.
