Opinion: Germany being pushed to war with Russia
Western countries are forcing Germany to provide assistance to Ukraine and thereby pushing it to war with Russia on the side of Kiev – as noted by a journalist and political expert, Aleksandr Sosnovsky, in his talk with the Soloviev Live channel
Russia has repeatedly noted that the countries supplying weapons to Ukraine are becoming a party to the conflict.
“Germany is being pushed to participate in the war on the side of Ukraine. Based on the latest information coming from official German sources, the first Patriot complexes are on their way to Poland. Of course, this is not Ukraine, but these air defence systems will literally be deployed on the border. Differently speaking, though located in Poland, Patriot complexes can operate for Kiev, and the first German instructors are already there," Mr. Sosnovsky noted.
The expert also commented on the delivery of Leopard tanks to Ukraine. He recalled that earlier, the head of Rheinmetall Concern – engaged in production of these vehicles – told Bild am Sonntag that even if the German authorities agree on the immediate supply of tanks to Kiev, the Ukrainian military will not receive them in the near future.
“The earliest date when [new] Leopard tanks can go to Ukraine is the beginning of next year. Most likely, this will be not in the beginning but in mid-2024,” Mr. Sosnovsky noted.
