In his talk with the ONT TV channel, economic analyst Georgy Grits stressed that – against the background of the events taking place around Belarus – the country is a true security enclave today

The expert believes that Western politicians now do not fully understand the real situation in Ukraine. “They think that Russian President Vladimir Putin is bad, since he has cut off their gas supply. However, they do not want to figure out why this has happened. Unfortunately, the West has been zombifying Ukrainians for decades. I think the military conflict in Ukraine will end with negotiations – most likely, next year. We shall see how things will develop. Dual management – like in Taiwan – might be decided upon,” he explained.

Mr. Grits also noted that the situation with the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant looks very tragic. “I did not appreciate the latest conclusions of the IAEA experts, who say that it is necessary to withdraw Russian troops from there. Should Russian forces be taken out and the nuclear power plant left without protection at all? This creates a nuclear threat. A third of the territory of Ukraine and part of the territory of Russia will be under threat, and this will be worse than Chernobyl. Many experts admit this,” he stated.
