NOC President congratulated Vladimir Shantarovich on his 70th birthday

The President of the National Olympic Committee of Belarus, Viktor Lukashenko, congratulated the head coach of the national kayaking and canoeing team of the Republic of Belarus, Vladimir Shantarovich, on his 70th birthday – as reported by the NOC in its Telegram channel

In his congratulations, the Head of the NOC noted the coach’s contribution to the development of domestic kayaking and canoeing.

“Over the period of your activity as a coach, you’ve made a huge contribution to the development of national kayaking and canoeing. You have repeatedly achieved victories with your pupils at the Olympic Games and international competitions, glorifying our Motherland on the world sports arena. The names of Roman Petrushenko, Vadim Makhnev, Aleksei Abalmasov, Artur Litvinchuk, Aliaksandr Bahdanovich and Andrei Bahdanovich, who performed in the national team under your leadership, are known far beyond the borders of our country,” reads the congratulatory message.

The NOC President underlined that knowledge and experience enable the coach to be respected by his colleagues and to train new young specialists in this sport while actively contributing to the development of the Olympic movement in Belarus.

Viktor Lukashenko wished Vladimir Shantarovich strong health, prosperity, success and new victories for the benefit of the development of Belarusian sports.
