National Unity Alley with 152 flags to decorate Minsk

An alley of flags will be created in front of the National Library of Belarus on National Unity Day – to feature the symbols of all districts, regions and cities of regional subordination of the country. Belarus’ national flag will head the alley.

The press secretary of the Patriots of Belarus public association, Irina Sinkevich, informed, “We want to unite and consolidate the Belarusian society under the flags of the regions to show their uniqueness.”

152 satin flags with a height of several metres will be placed on flagpoles, which will have a special QR code. By scanning the latter, Minskers and guests of the capital will be able to find out information about the sights and history of the district.

“I think that the alley of flags will become a wealth of our republic. We aim to make it truly significant: the unity of symbols marks the unity of the country," Ms. Sinkevich added.
