Misty mood reigning in Polish troops, Poland’s analyst asserts
At present, misty mood is reigning among Polish servicemen – as stated by Polish political analyst Tomasz Jankowski in his talk to ONT TV channel while commenting on words of Emil Czeczko who asked for political asylum in Belarus, BelTA reports
"True, people cross the border illegally but they should not be doomed to death for this,” Mr. Jankowski said. “Misty mood is now reigning in Polish troops now, so it is hard to condemn this person. However, what he has done – his escape to Belarus – is a crazy risk. He will definitely not be able to return to Poland. Meanwhile, he probably has a family and relatives in Poland. Just imagine what sort of motivation is needed to so drastically change the life.”
The Polish political analyst added, “He has done this in order not to follow orders. He is definitely called differently in the Polish media: an agent of Belarus and a traitor. There are assertions that he should not have served in the army. It is very interesting to know: how did you let him serve?"
