Mezentsev: it’s proposed to set up network university of high technologies in Union State

This was stated by State Secretary of the Union State Dmitry Mezentsev, speaking at the opening of the 5th Forum of the Association of Russian and Belarusian Universities in Moscow. According to him, this university should complement the educational and scientific potential being implemented in the Union State.

Dmitry Mezentsev recalled that Belarus and Russia have no problems with the nostrification of higher educational institutions’ diplomas; branches of two Russian universities are already operating in Minsk, while the Belarusian-Russian University is functioning in Mogilev. Alongside this potential, it is proposed to create a network university of high technologies of the Union State, said the State Secretary of the Union State.

“It will be able to offer both students and those people who will engage in scientific research and conduct teaching activities a completely different practice. Reporting to national leaders Vladimir Putin and Aleksandr Lukashenko, heads of government, we said that we would see this university to use the pedagogical experience, talent, professional knowledge of leading academicians, leading professors of the largest universities in Russia and Belarus. We’d like orientation lectures are given there by people whose authority and scientific name are not questioned in any country, both friendly and unfriendly,” said Dmitry Mezentsev.

He also underlined that significantly more Union State funding has begun to be allocated for a range of humanitarian projects. In 2024 alone, there will be 37 such projects in the humanitarian, educational and civil patriotic areas, despite the fact that three years ago there were only 20 of them,” noted the State Secretary of the Union State.
