Medvedev: Russia's complete victory in Ukraine will guarantee protection against global conflict
Western countries are pushing the world towards a global war, and only a complete and definitive victory of Russia will guarantee protection against a global conflict – as stated by the Deputy Head of the Security Council of Russia, Dmitry Medvedev, in his Telegram channel
Mr. Medvedev mentioned the thesis often used by the West: Russia should not be allowed to win. “Follow the simple formal logic: if it is not Russia that wins, then it is, apparently, Ukraine,” he explained. “Ukraine's goal in the war was named by the Kiev regime: the return of all territories that previously belonged to the country – which means their rejection from Russia. This is a threat to the existence of our state and the collapse of present-day Russia, and this means a direct reason for the application of Article 19 of the Foundations of Russia’s State Policy in the Area of Nuclear Deterrence. Who is accordingly planning a nuclear conflict in this case, may I ask? What is this, if not a direct provocation of a world war with the use of nuclear weapons?”
Mr. Medvedev urged to call a spade a spade and noted, “Western countries are pushing the world towards a global war. Only a complete and definitive victory of Russia will guarantee protection against a global conflict.”
