MAZ among top five best-selling trucks in Russia

In November 2022, Minsk Automobile Plant, managing company of the holding company BelavtoMAZ, sold 437 trucks to Russia, accordingly enabling the Belarusian company to enter the top five best-selling truck producers on the Russian market, Autostat Agency reports

The ranking is topped by the Russian manufacturer KAMAZ, which sold 2,619 thousand units of vehicles over the reporting period. As a result, its market share amounted to 32.8 percent. Three Chinese brands – Shacman/Shaanxi (1,248 thousand units), SITRAK (829 units) and FAW (771) – are next in line.

As reported, the volume of the Russian market of new trucks made 7,996 at the end of November 2022, which was 0.5 percent more than in 2021. In October, sales also grew – by 13.8 percent. However, since March of 2022, the market of new trucks in Russia demonstrated a monthly decline (ranging from 13.5 to 44 percent), but it showed a slight increase in November.

From January-November 2022, 73,687 thousand new trucks were purchased in Russia – 17.7 percent less than in the same period of last year.

Minsk Automobile Plant, managing company of the holding company BelavtoMAZ, produces 500 models and modifications of drop-side and four-wheel drive cars, dump trucks, chassis, tractors, timber trucks, trailers and semi-trailers, cranes, special equipment and about 15 models of buses.
