Macron said it’s easier for West to give billions of dollars to Ukraine than to help poor states

French President Emmanuel Macron said that the West is ready to provide Ukraine with billions of US Dollars in a short time, while it may take many years to support poor countries or fight climate change – as reported by CNN

Macron said he was upset by this ‘double standard narrative’. He called the attitude of developed countries to the global South, which suffers from poverty and climate change, ineffective.

The French leader urged his colleagues to fight this problem. In his opinion, if this is not done, then humanity will face the emergence of an ‘alternative multipolar world’ with its own financial institutions and a new global order.
