Lukashenko taking part in EAEU summit in Bishkek

The President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, has arrived at the Ala Archa State Residence of the President of Kyrgyzstan, where meetings of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council will be held today in narrow and expanded formats

The last time the state leaders’ meeting in person took place at the EAEU summit in 2019. Since 2020, the events have been organised as online conferences.

There are seventeen issues on the agenda of today’s summit. Four of them will be considered by the parties in a narrow format, and 13 – in an expanded format. The presidents of Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan will discuss the development of co-operation projects in industry, the formation of common markets, the work to eliminate obstacles and barriers in mutual trade, as well as the main directions of international activities for 2023, and other issues.
