Lukashenko, Putin hit the ice at Strelna Arena

The presidents of Belarus and Russia, Aleksandr Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin, went onto the ice of the Strelna Arena complex in St. Petersburg after their talks, BelTA reports

The heads of state played for one team but in different fives: Aleksandr Lukashenko performed under number 01, while Vladimir Putin – 11.

As informed by the Pul Pervogo Telegram channel, Vyacheslav Fetisov, Valery Kamensky, Alexei Kasatonov, Pavel Bure, Sergey Fedorov, Ilya Kovalchuk, Alexei Zhamnov and other famous Soviet and Russian hockey players also took part in the friendly Whites v Reds match. It ended in favour of the Whites which included the leaders of Belarus and Russia – 18:7.

Before the match, the presidents also met with legendary Soviet hockey players Valery Kamensky, Alexei Kasatonov and Aleksandr Yakushev who were awarded high Russian state awards. Aleksandr Lukashenko personally congratulated the hockey players, talked to them, and shared his memories as a fan.
