Lukashenko off to Astana after official visit to Tajikistan

The official visit of the President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, to Tajikistan has ended, and the Head of State took off from Dushanbe to Astana, BelTA reports

On October 13th-14th, Aleksandr Lukashenko will take part in the sixth summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) and a session of the CIS Heads of State Council in Astana.

During his official visit to Tajikistan, the Head of State held talks with the President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, discussing the expansion of co-operation, primarily in the trade and economic spheres, and also the implementation of current and promising projects.


Following the talks, Belarus and Tajikistan signed a roadmap for development of co-operation until 2026 and several other landmark documents regarding liaisons in different spheres.

Aleksandr Lukashenko held talks in Dushanbe with the Chairman of Majlisi Namoyandagon Majlisi Oli (lower house of parliament) of Tajikistan, Mahmadtoir Zokirzoda, and Tajikistan’s Prime Minister Kohir Rasulzoda.

Alongside the Belarusian leader’s visit to Dushanbe, a Tajik-Belarusian business forum and an exhibition of equipment and products of Belarusian manufacturers – Made in Belarus – were held. Belarusian enterprises signed contracts worth almost $50m there.
