Lukashenko invited Orel Region to implement new agro-industrial and construction projects

During today’s meeting with Russia’s Orel Region Governor Andrei Klychkov, the President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, proposed to implement a range of new projects in the agro-industrial complex and construction

In particular, the Head of State stressed that the Orel Region is a leader in the production of buckwheat, rapeseed, and sugar beets, as well as in the yield of oilseeds, grains and legumes, “Belarus has elite seeds and high-yielding varieties of agricultural crops. We are ready to share.”

According to Aleksandr Lukashenko, the Belarusian National Biotechnology Corporation (BNBC) – a unique project for the production of compound feed, amino acids and premixes – deserves special attention, “We also produce a wide range of veterinary drugs. We have developed highly productive technologies in breeding, poultry farming, dairy production and many other industries. If this enjoys popularity in your region, we will be very glad.”

Construction is another promising area for interaction. The Head of State noted that several years ago Belarusian specialists built an extension to a school in the city of Livny in the Orel Region, and the Russians were pleased with the work, “Significant social facilities and modern multi-storey residential buildings were constructed by Belarusians in the regions of Russia closest to you. We build quickly and qualitatively... I know that you have allocated ten sites in the Orel Region that are subject to the integrated development of territories; I think it makes sense to attract Belarusian builders to realise these projects... We can also offer our services in the field of major repairs, design and engineering surveys, supplies of modern building materials and elevators, assistance in regional gasification and much more that you need.”

The President stressed that this is not a complete list of areas in which Belarus and the Orel Region are ready to work more effectively, “At any time we are ready to co-ordinate and liaise with you across all areas. We can work with you more efficiently and intensively, showing other regions how much small Belarus can do for huge Russia.”
