Lukashenko: Georgians treated with warmth in Belarus, and co-operation results wished to be multiplied

The President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, has congratulated the people of Georgia on the national holiday: Independence Day, the Belarusian leader’s press service reports

“The path to the formation of the modern Georgian state has lasted for more than one millennium, and it was filled with heroic struggle, periods of prosperity and severe trials. Residents of this beautiful land have passed it with honour, great courage and dignity," the congratulatory message reads. “In Belarus, Georgians – who embody the richest culture, unique flavour and hospitality of their native land – are treated with warmth.”

Over the years of sovereignty, Belarus and Georgia have achieved significant success in developing bilateral economic, scientific, and cultural ties, which have always been based on respect and trust.

"I am sure that – by relying on historically conditioned friendly relations – our peoples will be able to preserve and multiply the results of joint work in various spheres of co-operation," the Belarusian leader stressed.

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished peace, well-being and prosperity the people of Georgia.
