Lukashenko bestowed 2023 Belarusian Sports Olympus special award

On December 19th, Head of State Aleksandr Lukashenko signed Decree No. 399 on awarding the President’s special prize: Belarusian Sports Olympus – as reported by the Belarusian leader’s press service

A special prize went to Mikhail Dvoryakov, Vanessa Kolodinskaya and Anna Eismont for their significant contribution to the development of physical culture and sports, their active promotion, as well as the development of sports traditions that contribute to the formation of a harmonious personality.

The Head of the Department of Cycling, Skating and Equestrian Sports at the Belarusian State University of Physical Culture, Mikhail Dvoryakov, has been working here since 1974, and has headed the department since 1992. Honoured Coach of the BSSR, he trained three international masters of sports and 15 masters of sports. Since 1998, Mikhail Dvoryakov has been working in the Belarusian Cycling Federation leadership. During this period, athletes of the national cycling team have repeatedly become Olympic medallists, winners and prize-winners of the world and European championships.

The highly qualified sports coach for the Interior Ministry’s sports team, athlete-instructor of the Belarusian national freestyle wrestling team Vanessa Kolodinskaya is an Honoured Master of Sports, bronze medallist of the 2020 Olympic Games, winner and prize-winner of the world and European championships. The United World Wrestling named her the world’s best female athlete of 2017 in women’s wrestling. At the 2023 World Championships she earned a silver medal and a license to participate in the 2024 Olympic Games.

The special correspondent of the Sport News Department of the Main Office of the Television News Agency of the Belarusian National State Television and Radio Company, Anna Eismont, has been working with the Belteleradiocompany since 2003. She is a TV hostess of the popular sports programmes – A Day of Sports and Arena – being also a regular author of stories and interviews for the Main Broadcast and Panorama programmes, as well as news releases. Anna Eismont also authors scripts for many films, special reports, projects about sports competitions and athletes, being an author and hostess of the documentary series Women and Sports and By the Way programme on the Belarus 5 TV channel. As a reporter, she covered the Olympic and European Games, Grand Slam tournaments and many other competitions.
