Previously, Nauseda reported that Vilnius approved this plan to help Kiev in August 2022.

“We’ll continue to support Ukrainians by all means: military, economic, and political. The Lithuanian Defence Council approved a €200m package of long-term military support for Ukraine. Already in January we’ll again send ammunition, generators, detonation systems to Ukraine, and in February – M577 armoured vehicles. We will train the Ukrainian military and strengthen co-operation in military industry,” Nauseda said at a press conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, broadcast by the Lithuanian TV channel LRT.

Nauseda noted that during the Ukrainian delegation’s visit to Vilnius, many documents were signed between representatives of defence enterprises of Ukraine and Lithuania, “I think this is the path we should take in the near future, because we see that there is quite a lot of money in the arms market, but very little production capacity to use this money and manufacture goods. Therefore, it is necessary to expand the entire potential of the defence industry, which Lithuania, Ukraine and, of course, the entire EU have.”
