Lavrov indicated conditions for Putin-Zelenskyy meeting

“Our President [Vladimir Putin] has repeatedly stated that he is ready to meet, including with Mr. [Volodymyr] Zelenskyy, on understanding that all matters, which require consideration at the highest level will be worked well through and experts and ministries will prepare related guidelines. And, of course, on understanding that when and if, hopefully, the process of signing future agreements is reached, the issue of the person’s legitimacy, who will be signing these agreements on the Ukrainian side will be resolved,” Russia’s Foreign Minister stated at a press conference.
Lavrov noted that Zelenskyy has not yet cancelled his three-year-old decree prohibiting negotiations with Putin.
“And this active efforts of his about organising a summit with the Russia leader are clearly pursuing the goal of showing his allegedly constructive focus on settlement process — but in reality these are just to replace serious, hard and difficult work to co-ordinate the principles of a sustainable resolution of the crisis with such effects in KVN- and Kvartal 95 -style [a comedy show and Zelenskyy's team] and other tricks,” the Russian diplomat emphasised.
