Belarus expects to unlock potential of co-operation with the DPRK in the sphere of education, and a corresponding agreement was signed by the relevant departments during the official visit of President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), BelTA reports
"The agreement signed between the education ministries of our countries envisages the exchange and training of students, internships for teaching staff. Today we see a high level of education in the field of natural sciences, exact sciences, and engineering. Of course, we have a lot to share in this field,” Belarus’ Education Minister Andrei Ivanets told reporters.
As he noted, quite a large number of citizens from the DPRK study in China and Russia now. Back in Soviet times, many people from this country studied on the territory of Belarus as well. “We are confident that this potential must be unlocked," the Education Minister said.
According to Mr. Ivanets, the DPRK is primarily in need of training for engineering personnel, as well as specialists in the field of agriculture and natural sciences.
