Preparations for the upcoming visit of the President of Uzbekistan to the Belarusian capital have been discussed in the Government today, BelTA reports
Belarus’ Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Shuleiko held a meeting with Uzbekistan’s Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade Laziz Kudratov. “Today, we are on the verge of an important event for both our countries — the upcoming meeting between our leaders. Our discussion today is also focused on this. Therefore, it is necessary to co-ordinate the positions developed by our embassy in Tashkent,” Mr. Shuleiko told Laziz Kudratov. He also highlighted the importance of aligning the understanding of the approaches outlined in the joint meeting protocol to clearly define the objectives both sides intend to achieve.
Mr. Shuleiko noted that several issues need to be resolved as part of the preparations for this meeting. “The Belarusian side is ready to manage all organisational aspects. There should be no discrepancies. We are now entering a very advanced phase of the visit preparations,” he said.
