According to Dmitry Krutoi, the range of mutual supplies of Belarusian and Samara machine building enterprises is constantly growing, with both parties embarking on major joint projects.

“We have traditionally liaised in the field of machine building, and now – in the context of sanctions and external pressure on our countries – we are preparing a separate programme with AvtoVAZ for the supply of automotive components,” said the Ambassador of Belarus to Russia.

Dmitry Krutoi announced the good results of joint work between Belarus and the Samara Region in the petrochemical field. In particular, almost all large Belarusian enterprises of this profile have found partners in the Russian region and are working on long-term partnerships.

“A separate issue is the supplies of Belarusian equipment, which are growing every year. Samara region farmers like both Belarusian harvesters and tractors. Since last year, there has been a very serious increase in the supplies in the utility and road segments of vehicles. Belarusians began to actively participate in the Samara Region passenger reform. Probably, the Samara Region is the main region this year for the supply of Belarusian buses to the largest cities: Samara, Togliatti, Syzran. Therefore, we will continue this work,” the diplomat said.

He especially noted the joint work of Belarus and the Russian region in the cultural sphere. In the last six months alone, more than a dozen joint serious events have taken place: from film festivals to classical music concerts, said Dmitry Krutoi, adding that there is a proposal to create a list of cultural projects that could be jointly implemented by Belarus and Russian regions.

Dmitry Krutoi did not rule out that these events could be included in the new Union State programmes that the two countries’ governments are currently working on.
