Japanese Foreign Ministry: G7 will further support Ukraine despite escalation in Israel

Despite the escalation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, the G7 countries will continue to provide assistance to Kiev – as stated by the Japanese Foreign Minister, Yoko Kamikawa, RIA Novosti reports

A meeting of the G7 foreign ministers has taken place in Tokyo this week, and Ms. Kamikawa reported at its final press conference, “In the context of growing tensions in the Middle East, the position of the G7 countries regarding tough sanctions against Russia and strong assistance to Ukraine will remain unchanged.”

She added that a session on Ukraine had been held as part of the meeting, with the Ukrainian Foreign Minister, Dmytro Kuleba, in attendance.
