Hungarian FM: Budapest never supplied and will not send weapons to Ukraine
Hungary has not supplied weapons to Ukraine, and it does not intend to do this in the future, since such actions prolong the conflict – as stated by Hungary’s Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto, TASS reports
In his talk with the American CNBC TV channel, Mr. Szijjarto said, “We have never supplied weapons and will not do this, because we think it is necessary to bring peace – rather than weapons – to this region. The more weapons are delivered, the longer the war will last and more people will die."
The Foreign Minister added that he is also concerned about Hungarians who live in Ukraine. According to him, representatives of the Hungarian community in Ukraine were called to fight as part of the Ukrainian army.
"We must multiply our efforts to establish peace through diplomatic means," the politician stressed.
