Golovchenko: Belarus will not change its position on unacceptability of US blockade against Cuba

Belarus will not change its position on the unacceptability of the blockade imposed by the United States against Cuba – as stated by Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko during his today’s meeting with Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz

As noted by Mr. Golovchenko, Belarus and Cuba are long-standing and time-tested partners, “Our relations are exceptionally friendly and open. We have traditionally supported each other on international platforms for many years. We share similar opinions on the geopolitical processes that are taking place in the world. We jointly oppose the sanctions dictate and advocate the speedy construction of a new just world order.”

The Prime Minister assured that Belarus has not changed and will not change its position on the unacceptability of the economic, financial and trade blockade imposed by the United States against Cuba. “We will continue to support your country and its just demands for the abolition of illegitimate pressure, which causes significant damage to the Cuban people. Accordingly, we appreciate Cuba’s support to us on international platforms. In the conditions of chaotic sanctions restrictions, which are indiscriminately applied by Western countries, the value of supporting real friends is especially important,” Mr. Golovchenko stressed.
