Golovchenko: Belarus interested in Asian producers

Belarus is interested in the arrival of Asian producers to the domestic market – as stated by Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko during today’s meeting on the issue of exports to the countries of the far arc

“Foreign direct investment in Belarus continues to increase, and the growth on a net basis made 45 percent in Q1. We are interested in the arrival of Asian manufacturers to our market. In the conditions of the curtailment of production facilities in Russia by Western companies, a real struggle for Asian investments will unfold,” Mr. Golovchenko said.

The Prime Minister noted that the Government meeting participants should thoroughly and substantively consider the current situation, the results of work of the Foreign Ministry and foreign institutions in this field.

“All tasks for the near future have already been defined. A comprehensive strategy of co-operation with the countries of the far arc, plans for interaction between embassies and industries have been adopted, and relevant resolutions of the Council of Ministers have been signed. Approaches to export crediting and financial support for exporters have also been significantly simplified. We now need to implement these,” Mr. Golovchenko stressed.
