Gintsburg assessed safety of nasal vaccine against COVID-19
The nasal vaccine against COVID-19, which was developed by specialists from the Gamaleya Research Centre for Epidemiology and Microbiology of the Russian Federation, is not dangerous for the body, since it does not contain a live virus, Director of the Centre Alexander Gintsburg told RIA Novosti
Earlier in the media, with reference to the virologist Konstantin Chumakov, information appeared that the nasal vaccine, including against a new type of coronavirus, could allegedly be more dangerous for the body than the one that is administered intramuscularly.
“It is not true for our vaccine, since we don’t have a live virus in it,” said Alexander Gintsburg, answering the question whether this information applies to the vaccine of the Gamaleya Centre.
