Gigin explained why Poland wants to create Europe’s most powerful army

Western countries want to pump up the Polish armed forces, enabling them to independently conduct certain operations – as noted by Director General of Belarus’ National Library Vadim Gigin in his talk with the Soloviev Live TV channel

Earlier, Polish Defence Minister Mariusz Blaszczak, who simultaneously holds the post of Deputy PM, said that Poland intends to create a powerful army over the next two years.

“In the conditions of collapse, the defeat that Ukraine is suffering at the front, some kind of external support is needed. Poland acts as such an external support. There is another important point: at one time [the former head of the British government] Boris Johnson put forward the idea of creating an association under the UK auspices. But now it has been transformed into the idea that Poland will be able to create such armed forces within two to five years enabling it to conduct limited operations in Eastern Europe even without the involvement of Article 5 of the NATO Charter,” said Vadim Gigin.

According to the expert, the Polish army is being pumped up with weapons for this purpose.

“Crazy deliveries are expected: HIMARS and tanks, including the South Korean Black Panther, and Abrams, etc. This is how they want to pump up the Polish armed forces, enabling them to carry out certain operations themselves. And for this they need operational space. It’s assumed that this will be Western Ukraine. Through it, they want to put pressure on Belarus in order to change the constitutional order and bring pro-Western puppets to power in Minsk,” Vadim Gigin concluded.
