French President announced the ‘end of abundance’
French President Emmanuel Macron has warned that the ‘period of abundance’ is over. According to him, the time has come to prepare for the fact that many familiar goods will become unavailable, RIA Novosti reports.
Macron said that France is now ‘living through a tipping point or great upheaval’.
“We will have to face the economic consequences. We are talking about products and technologies that seemed to us always available,” he said.
According to him, this is due to the drought in Europe, which may be declared the worst in the last 500 years, and the situation in Ukraine. Speaking of the latter, Macron stressed that ‘freedom has a cost’ and it must be paid.
Earlier, the French leader called for abandoning any compromises with Russia while some Frenchmen did not like such statements.
