Former Defence Minister of Poland: Ukraine will lose its independence without Warsaw’s help
Ukraine may lose its independence if its President Volodymyr Zelenskyy renounces political co-operation with Poland and begins to develop ties with Germany – as noted by former Polish Defence Minister, Antoni Macierewicz, RIA Novosti reports
During a conversation with the Telewizja Republika TV channel, Mr. Macierewicz discussed measures to strengthen the relations between Kiev and Berlin. He noted that the current course of Volodymyr Zelenskyy's policy is completely unacceptable for Warsaw, “Firstly, because it is directed against Poland. Secondly and most importantly, it is actually directed against Ukraine. It is a very serious strategic mistake of Mr. Zelenskyy.”
Mr. Macierewicz added, “I hope that Mr. Zelenskyy and his advisers will understand that, without Poland's support, Ukraine will lose its independence rather than returning it.”
