First Deputy Head of President Administration: leaders of Belarus, China share common view on international agenda

Belarus and China strongly support each other in important issues that affect key national interests, such as state sovereignty, territorial integrity, security and stability, and this is the key and important aspect of the strategic partnership relations between the two countries – as stated by the First Deputy Head of the President Administration, Maksim Ryzhenkov, at the presentation of the Belarusian edition – the first volume of Xi Jinping on Public Administration, and the Chinese-Belarusian seminar on public administration held in Minsk

“The main distinguishing feature of our foreign policy is that we are not friends against anyone, we build relations in our common interests, in the interests of our common home – Eurasia, in the interests of the peaceful future of the entire planet,” Mr. Ryzhenkov stressed.

According to the First Deputy Head of the President Administration, modern co-operation between China and Belarus is also an example of how sovereign states – different in their potential, scale of economies, religion and history – can find a common language and peacefully coexist and make friends.

“The world must preserve its diversity. The opinions of all countries must be heard, regardless of their features and development paths. It is possible only if there is no dictate or unilateral restrictions, if there is respect and trust in each other. That is why Minsk and Beijing are linked by long-term and lasting friendship based on personal contacts and special trust between Belarus’ President Aleksandr Lukashenko and Chinese President Xi Jinping," he noted, adding that this was clearly demonstrated a few weeks ago, during the visit of the Belarusian Head of State to Beijing.

“At the moment, our common agenda includes an unprecedented number of joint projects in various fields: economics, trade, industrial co-operation, agriculture, education, medicine, and science. It is no less important that the leaders of our countries are united by a common view on the international agenda. We also share common efforts in finding modern and high-quality solutions in response to global challenges and threats facing the entire planet,” Mr. Ryzhenkov added.
