Elon Musk planning to build his own town in Texas
US entrepreneur Elon Musk plans to build his own city on the land he recently bought near the city of Austin (Texas) – as reported by The Wall Street Journal
According to newspaper sources, Musk’s idea is to create a Texas utopia, where employees of his companies could work and live along the Colorado River.
It is noted that at the moment, the companies of an American businessman, the owner of SpaceX and the Boring Company, are already being built in Texas. A group of modular houses, a swimming pool, an outdoor sports area and a gym have been constructed there.
Boring Company President Steve Davis, an assistant to Musk, added that the entrepreneur does have bigger plans to build a full-fledged big city.
According to Texas law, an application for registration of a city can only be submitted if at least 201 people live there. In turn, a representative of the Bastrop County, where the proposed city of Mask is being built, said that the administration had not received an application from either the entrepreneur or his organisations.
